Puppy Gus

Puppy Gus Update!
Just got a call from the vet. The tests have not shown a confirmed indication of a diapragmatic hernia (leading us to believe that the vet who did the initial diagnosis before the dog was surrendered may have been mistaken), but the ultrasound shows fluid in the cavity surrounding the heart. This could be a secondar...y factor to the flat chest syndrome that seems to be apparent. Our vet will be doing surgery to try to repair whatever is going on. that is effecting his breathing.

PLEASE send Gus your good thoughts and prayers, he really needs them. We are not sure exactly when he will go into surgery yet but our vet plans to do it sometime tomorrow, or at the latest Thursday. Right now, Gus is getting lots of love from everyone at the vet, and eating well and is stable.

If you are able to help out at all towards his care use the Paypal button. All proceeds go 100% towards vet care, and any amount helps! Thanks!
